How has AI impacted content creation? This article examines the effects of artificial intelligence on human-created content and outlines the implications for creators and consumers.

AI and the effects on human-created content.

AI-Generated content – In a world where AI is rapidly advancing and automating various tasks, it’s critical we remember the importance of human-created content in branding & design. While AI has the ability to process and analyse large amounts of data quickly, it lacks the creativity and person-centred empathy that’s unique to the human experience.

In branding, this manifests as a deeper connection with your audience through relatable, authentic and meaningful content that connects with your audience on an emotional level, resulting in higher engagement and stronger brand recognition.

More importantly, human-created content offers a level of flexibility and customisation that AI-generated content cannot match – at this stage anyway. It allows you to tailor your message to your specific target audience, effectively communicating your brand’s unique story and values.

As a Creative Director and Brand Manager, I have seen first-hand the beautiful impact that well-thought-out, human-created content has on building strong and successful brands. Whether it’s through brand creation, web design, social media, or advertising, the human touch is essential in creating a memorable and impactful brand experience for the user themself.

Investing in human-created content is not only about building a better brand, but it’s about creating a meaningful connection with your audience. So, let’s celebrate the power of human creativity and continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of branding, design and content creation for telling a story.

But how will it affect search and what will Google do about it?

Artificial intelligence (AI) written content is increasingly being used by marketers to create blog posts, product descriptions, and other types of content. While AI-generated content can be produced quickly and in large quantities, it often lacks the unique perspective and creativity that comes from a human writer. This has led some experts to question the impact AI-written content will have on Google rankings in the future.

Google has been working to improve its ranking algorithms to better understand the true quality of content and give higher rankings to pages that are more relevant to users. But as AI-written content becomes more prevalent, it’s possible that Google will start to penalise it for being low quality and lacking in substance. If this happens, it could mean that businesses relying on AI-written content will see a decline in their search engine rankings, which will have a significant impact on their visibility and traffic.

We can’t overlook the fact, that Google will adjust its algorithms to better take into account AI-written. Nevertheless, as technology advances and AI content becomes more sophisticated, it may become harder to distinguish between AI-generated and human-created content. Ultimately, the impact that AI-written content will have on Google rankings will depend on how well the search giant is able to recognise the quality of the content and incorporate it into its ranking algorithms.
